Show Iflewi Iflotei Ambrose Shurtz of this city has returned to his home here following over a month's vacation vaca-tion trip to Arizona. He visited his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eunice Hansen, former residents of Spriingville, at Tempe, Arizona, and they took him to numerous places of interest in the Gila Valley some 175 miles east of Tempe. He was interested to learn of the activities of Chief Cochese against the early pioneers in that area. He also visited the old mining town of Tombstone and its Boot Hill Cemetery and the mining town of Bisbee and one of the largest gold mines iin the world. He also took a trip into Old Mexico. Mr. Shurtz, who will be 87 in April, Ap-ril, reported the weather was beautiful and that he had lots of fun on the trip. Mrs. Delia Clark returned this week from Winnemucca, Nevada, where she visited two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Lamond (Janice) Higbee, and family. Mr. Higbee is recovering recover-ing from a heart attack which he suffered in November.' Mrs. Clark spent three days in Salt Lake City with her sister, Mrs. Fern P. Cornwell, before going to Nevada. |
