Show Miss Mary Jo Alleman is wed to James Edward Anhalt, Jr. Wedding news this week from Monterey Park, California, Californ-ia, tells of the marriage of charming Miss Mary Jo Alleman. Alle-man. daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ray S. Alleman, former residents resi-dents of Springville, and James Edward Anhalt, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. James E. Anhalt, An-halt, Menterey Park. Grandparenis are Josie 'O. H. Alleman, Monterey Park. Calif.; Mrs. Mary C. Harker, Salt Lake City, both formerly of Springville; and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Garavelli of Memphis, Mem-phis, Tenn. The marriage was an event of June 27, at Monterey Park Ward Chapel, with Bishop W. Robert Laldlaw officiating. For her wedding attire, the bride chose a white silk brocade bro-cade sent from Korea by an aunt, Deon Buccelli, who is teaching in the American Army Ar-my school there. It was of original or-iginal design fashioned by the bride with Princess fitted top. deep inverted pleats front and back, jewel neckline and long pointed sleeves. A silk organza train bordered with brocade was attached to the gown by a large bow at the waist. Appli-qued Appli-qued lace flowers to match the flower motif on the gown, decorated dec-orated the train and neckline. Her veil of double illusion net was arranged to a beaded white satin coronet. She carried car-ried a bouquet of white orchids with Hly-if-the-valley and stephanotis. Mrs. Mary Anna Cunningham Cunning-ham was matron of honor and Kathleen Alleman, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Karen Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, Portland; Sally Houtz, Pomona, Calif., cousins of the bride; Angela Carnell, Memphis, Mem-phis, Tenn., cousin of the groom. The attendants wore blue shantung, princess-style gowns with matching veils and hats and carried simulated baskets of shasta daisies. Mary Moeller of St. Louis, was flower flow-er girl. Best man was John Paul Anhalt, brother of the groom and ushers were Jim Fry, Harold Har-old D. Alleman, Don Burnap, Fred Boutin, David S. Alleman and Bishop Rasmussen. The couple left after the reception re-ception for a wedding trip by aiir to Memphis, Tenn., where they will be at home at Sher-bourge Sher-bourge South Apt., near the University of Tennessee Medical Medi-cal Center. The groom begins his senior year medical school July 6. A graduate of Mark Keppel High School and the Brigham Young University, the bride received her Masters degree from John Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md., June 11. She was affiliated wih Spurs, Y Calcares and White Keys at BYU. Mr. Anhalt graduated from Mark Keppel High School and also from Occidental College at Los Angeles. He is affiliated' affili-ated' with Alpha Kappa-Kappa, medical fraternity. NEWLYWEDS, Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Anhalt, Jr., cut their wedding cake climaxing reception in California. |
