Show Recovering Lt. Art Child of Spring-ville Spring-ville City Police Force, underwent un-derwent major surgery, on Tuesday, at Utah Valley Hospital, for removal of a bullet lodged in the back of his neck for 15 years. The operation was believed to be successful. The officer received the .22 bullet in the neck from a gun in the hands of boys shooting rats. He was on the highway and had just rolled down the car window. The bullet lodged too close to the spinal column to be removed at the time, but during the years, it had moved to make the operation opera-tion possible. Lt. Child is expected to fully recover from the freakish accident, which came so close to being be-ing fatal. |
