Show Mapleton is planning a big 24th of July celebration tomorrow tomor-row with events beginning at six a.m. and going until late afternoon. The J.C.'s will be out with loud speakers to awaken everyone at 6 a.m., and the bishoprics of both wards will begin serving breakfast at 6:30 at the town park The Primaries have a fine parade lined up which will begin at 9 a.m. Stands will be open from early morning morn-ing with a variety of eats, drinks, balloons, fish pond, dart games, air guns and home baked goods. During the day there will be a Little League ballgame at 10:30 a.m., an M Men ball game in the afternoon at 2 p.m. Races for the children and rides of different kinds, including a pony cart ride will also be featured. Helping with the day's ac tivities in addition to both LDS wards will be the Jaycees and Lions Clubs and their auxiliary aux-iliary organizations, he riding club and the firemen. The committee in charge of the .celebration are: Farrell Ogilvie, chairman; Juan Whiting, Whit-ing, Norman Graves, Glen Holley, Leonard Allen and Bruce Mendenhall assisting him. Everyone is working toward making this one of the biggest and best celebrations at Mapleton, Ma-pleton, and ' all are invited to enjoy the many events planned. |
