Show Man arrested for kidnapping CEDAR CITY In a combined effort, the Cedar City Police Department and the Kane County Sheriff's Department rescued a Cedar City woman and her two children, and arrested a man for aggravated kidnapping Saturday afternoon. Leona Rogers, 22, and her two children, ages 3-and 3-and 4-years-old, were reported missing Aug. 6 by her brother Dwight Rogers, also of Cedar City. The police department depart-ment began investigating the incident and worked all day and through the night trying to find additional ad-ditional information concerning the report. Early Saturday morning, according to the police report, information in-formation developed to indicate to investigating officers that the victim and her children were being held captive in a canyon below Navajo Lake in the North Fork area of Kane County. Kane County officials were notified and responded to assist in the search. At about 3 p.m. Aug. 7, a subject identified iden-tified as Linford Paul Caruso, 34, was observed comming out of the canyon. The suspect was then placed under arrest for aggravated kidnapping, kid-napping, and is now being held in the Iron County Jail with bail set at $10,000. |
