Show Best wishes to grads Be somebody. If we at the Iron County Record could offer any advice to the graduating seniors of the County, that would be it: be somebody. So you are a member of the Class of 1981. That's great, but you should look upon it not as the end of the road, but a beginning to becoming somebody. Many of you will go on to further your education, becoming doctors, lawyers, scientists, teachers or journalists. Others will immediately enter the working world as carpenters, farmers, secretaries or clerks. It doesn't really matter what your chosen field is. What does matter is how you do your job, and the satisfaction of doing it well. You should always strive to do the very best at whatever you do. It is important that you give a little extra of yourself, to be successful. Call it professionalism, bedside manner, efficiency, ef-ficiency, compassion or whatever you want. It is absolutely necessary if you want to be a success, to be somebody. There are many ways of judging success. Most often success is related in terms of dollars. The size of your paycheck ; the size of your house; how many cars, boats or material things you own are all to often the world's way of judging success, of determining if you are somebody. But we can all be somebody. A Little League coach is somebody to his team. A good secretary is somebody to a rising company. A loving mother is somebody to her family. You can, and should, be somebody. You can, and should, be a leader in your community. com-munity. Chair a project, lead a drive, give of yourself so that others may benefit.
