Nathan Armbruster from Denver, Colo., son of Carrie and Robert, has been here for a few weeks visiting his grandparents, Tony and Judy Gubler. Visiting with Floyd and Bonnie Woodv were their friends Verl and Edith Stout and Virgil Arrington from Las Vegas. While here the Stouts' purchased the home of B. N. and LaDawn Williams and will move here as soon as the Williams' move to Las Vegas. Delbert Reeves, son of Clayton and Shirlee Reeves, traveled to Provo with the jazz band from Cedar City High School. They were 97 percent in the State. Mrs. Herma Truman is in Rose Mead, Calif., where she was called due to the serious illness of her mother, Audrey Gubler. Eric and Gaye Mackay from Brisbane, Australia, spent a few days here with their friend, Tom Smith. Ken and Wilma Clark spent several . days in California at San Diego moving their daughter Tonya Jenkins home. Tonya will stay three weeks, then will go meet her husband at Port Hueneme, Calif, where he is in the Navy. Mrs. Lou Ella Hawkins returned home Saturday after spending two months in Salt Lake City and Ogden. She stayed in Ogden with her son and daughter-in-law, David and Joy Hawkins and girls. They brought Lou Ella home and will return Sunday. Mrs. Roberta Eastman spent Saturday in Ivins, Utah, with her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Jeffrey Williams and daughter, Liberty. The Eastmans' friends, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simons from Salt Lake City were there for the day. Visiting with Belle and Virgil Davis were Belles' sisters, Mrs. Mildred Stephens from . Murray and Idonna Stirton from Las Vegas. Floyd and Bonnie Woody spent Friday in Provo where Floyd went for a doctor's appointment. ap-pointment. Bevan and Doris Williams and Gwen Davis left Thursday for Salt Lake City. The Williams' are staying with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Williams of Sandy, and Gwen is staying with Ted and Shelly Currey and son, Adam. Marva, Sharon and Elwin Prince of New Harmony visited briefly with Marva's sister, Carma, and brother, Leonard Davis on Friday. Ethna and Barbara Williams traveled to Las Vegas Saturday to take Ethna's granddaughter grand-daughter Holly to catch a plane for Eugene, Ore. Holly Williams spent the year attending BYU. She is the daughter of Terry and Lauralie Williams. Mr. Richard Woodbury from Salt Lake City spent the weekend here with his mother, Arvilla Woodbury and sister, Helen Beatty. |
