Show go right for Owen Gonder, James Wheeler and Von Rowley. The story we heard It was too far away. The other day Von was on his motorcycle and something some-thing went wrong. He ended up in the Milford Hospital. It was his leg that got hurt. He returned home just in time to go deer hunting with brother, Walter, and his friends from California. Owen Gonder took wife, Pat, and children, and their trailer up to Mountain Home for the hunt. It's good to get away. From Cedar Rapids, Iowa my Aunt Idan and Uncle Cec Panther, along with dog, Cherie, spent the last week here with us. They made it just in time for the deer hunt. Uncle Cec had never been on one and this was a good one. Connie and Steve Harton and son, Mark, pulled their camper by our back fence. Leo Harton, Steve's dad, of Milford, pulled his little trailer next to theirs. Then Wallace and Vee Cannon pulled the 5th wheel along the fence. Henry and Mabel Atkln-so, Atkln-so, of Salt Lake and grandsons grand-sons Richard and Robert Mac Kay put their camper along the other side of the fence. Next to them Kathy and Rulon Swenson and children Chris, Scott and Ryan, set up their trailer. Guy Knudsen, of Magna, stayed with in laws, Cannons. Max Kendall of Salt Lake and Chuck Johnson, shared our guest room during the hunt. Our grandson Scott and dad, Larry Hardwick, put their sleeping bags on the dining room floor. Well, with all this help and 'great' shots, Steve and Wallace were the cqily ones that got the bucks. The others only got the empty shells and the stories. Bud and Gen Richardson just stayed home and kept warm and watched the traf- Lambert and AnnaDutson, of Oak City, were out two weeks ago, and they returned return-ed home with a big load of wood. It will keep them warm for a day or six. Neno and Shirley Schena were out with their two grandchildren to enjoy the quiet. They didn't even hear a. train whistle. The elk hunt just didn't fic going by. Mollie and Wayne Gonder were in Elko for a friend's funeral, but they were home to company for the hunt, also. While Darwin was out hunting, Jeannieand the girls kept the store openT- Ladd Davies played host to friends from California. This is the only time of the year that they can get together. to-gether. But it is still fun. Other than the deer hunt, nothing much is doing In the valley. Remember: To handle yourself, use your head to handle others, use your heart. |
