Flora Bowman, 90, of Cedar Ce-dar City, died of natural causes cau-ses October 18, 1980 at the home of a daughter, in Beaver, Bea-ver, r Born August 23, 1890 in Colonia, Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Ernest L. and Mary Arneson Taylor. Married Mar-ried Ray Oberhansley Jan. 2, 1912, Salt Lake LDS Tern -. pie. He died May 15, 1915. Married Demar Bowman, Jan. 2, 1921, El Paso, TX. j He died Nov. 21, 1965. She was student body president of Ricks College during WWI, Schoolteacher at the Jarez Stake Academy for mamy years. Volunteer nurses aid at the Cedar City hospital hos-pital for years. Chairman of the Red Cross, Southern Utah, during WW II. Taught Relief Society and very active ac-tive in the LDS Church, holding hold-ing numerous positions. Active Ac-tive in Iron County Republican Re-publican Party, PTA, past president. Survivors: sons and daughters, Ray Oberhansley, Mrs. O.W. Afton, Gurr, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Grant (Vilda) Esplin, Beaver; De-mar De-mar 'Bud' Bowman, Jr., of Cedar City; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Lester Taylor, California; Funeral Services were held in the Cedar City 14th Ward Chapel with Bishop Kent Stapley officiating.
