Show July 1 was the first day to apply for all big game restricted permits, which include antlerless deer (most In northern Utah), and cow and bull elk restricted permits, antelope, moose, desert bighorn sheep and - buffalo permits. Details on applying for these special permits are available in the Utah Big Game Proclamation, copies of which are now available from all local license agents. Applications must all be in at any Division of Wildlife Wild-life Resources Office by July 31. The drawing will be August 15. Locally, special permits will be held on August 15, Desert Antelope Unit (35 buck permits), the Indian Peaks Elk Unit ( 10 bull permits) and the Beaver Mt. Elt Unit (15 bull permits). Fish stocking has been conducted this past week on most of the Beaver Mountain Moun-tain lakes and streams. Puffer Puf-fer Lake, Meer Lake, Blain-ies Blain-ies Lake, Little Reservoir and Anderson Meadow Res. were all stocked with catch -able rainbow trout just prior to the July 4th weekend.Mid-dle weekend.Mid-dle Kents Lake and Three Creeks Reservoir were stocked previously and will be stocked again next week; Manderfield Reservoir and LaBaron Reservoir were not accessible by the 4th, but are now acces -sible and should be stocked this week. In Addition, Merchant Mer-chant Creek and the Beaver River were lightly stocked last week and will receive a heavier stocking when the water recedes and clears up. |
