Show ARMY RESERVE OFFERS $1500 ENLISTMENT BONUS The 96th Army Reserve Command, here, has announced announ-ced that all units within its six state jurisdiction will begin be-gin offering enlistment bonuses March 15, 1979. The newly authorized enlistment en-listment program is a phase within a more general program pro-gram for recruiting new members in 1979. That program offers the bonuses for a longer period, but only for enlistments in designated desig-nated units within the Inter-mountain Inter-mountain area. For the period of March 15 to June 15, 1979, the enlistment en-listment program has been extended to all 96th ARCOM Reserve units. A person enlisting in the Reserve may select one of two options in the bonus program. The first option is an enlistment en-listment bonus of $1500 to be paid in increments of $750 upon completion of active act-ive duty training, $200 at completion of the second and third years and $350 at the end of the fourth year of service. The second option is an educational assistance program pro-gram which provides up to 50 percent of educational expenses. The amount may not exceed $500 for any 12-month 12-month period or $2000 during dur-ing the six year enlistment period. ' More information on the bonus program is available from Army Reserve |
