Show QiiendnnGO op PflG hoars oi mcoiinn By Terry Madsen The Parent Advisory Committee, which is composed com-posed of 25 parents selected select-ed by MHS students and fac- of Health presentation, will be at 7:30 on April 18th, at the high school. ulty, met Wednesday, March 21. They are happy to report re-port that the third term attendance at-tendance for MHS is 95, just one percent short of the high school's projected goal of 96 attendance. The 7th grade had the highest attendance at-tendance record, 96.8. The improved attendance is credited to the newly -introduced attendance policy. Other facts established at the meeting include: 1. There will be a music and football program next fall. 2. The dress code is essentially the same as last year. MHS will go to a 7 period day next fall, shortening the lunch period about 10 minutes, min-utes, and letting school out at 3:15 p.m. (The extra period is necessary to allow al-low other teachers to pick up the classes left after losing 1 12 teachers this year.) The Parent Advisory Committee wishes to announce an-nounce that on April 18, there will be a presentation by the State Board of Health on teenage pregnancy, which will be presented to grades 9-12 at school that day, then again at 7:30 p.m. at the high school for all interested people. The Committee stresses that anyone is welcome to attend these meetings, which are informative, and only last one hour. Any community com-munity input is appreciated. Wilma Coates is the chairman, chair-man, and Sue Morris, the co-chairman. Again, the next meeting, and the Board |
