Widening of Main Street by one to one and a half feet on either side was forfeited, for-feited, until funding is available avail-able for replacement of sewer and water lines. That project has been in the works for several years, and could be funded by FmHA this year for construction next year, but it was decided not to wait on it any longer. Also discussed was the possibility of rerouting the highway off of Main Street if and when Milford gets significant growth from mining min-ing or geothermal activity. However, since no time table is available for growth from any of these projects, it was determined that the Main Street Project should go a-head. a-head. Mansour said the state is studying two possible routes. Their preference would be to cross the tracks at a right angle south of Milford, connecting .with U-21 near the elementary school and continuing on north, then back to U-257 north of Milford. The group agreed this routing would be better than a bypass east of the tracks. A local group decided Monday evening that resurfacing re-surfacing of the Milford Main Street deserved first priority, prior-ity, and should not be delayed. de-layed.
