The Miners led 15-14 at the quarter and held an advantage ad-vantage until the last few minutes of the second quarter, when Milford spurted spurt-ed to a 34-32 half-time lead. But they got it together in the second half and led 51 -43 at the three-quarter mark and 80-53 at the final buzzer. How sweet it is! The Tigers one point overtime over-time victory Saturday over the Cedar City Redmen was made even more sweet by the fact that they not only beat the 3 -A school, but many of them were members of Mil-ford's Mil-ford's state championship team two years ago when Coach Nielsen, now head monitor of the Redmen, was coach at Milford. It was a sweet victory for Coach Hillock, who was assistant coach of Cedar City, when the Redmen won the 2-A championship. A disappointment dis-appointment that turned to frustration as Kim Williams dropped in two foul shots with seven seconds remaining re-maining to give the Tigers a three point lead. The Tigers of course, backed off, and let the Redmen have the last two pointer, as the clock ran out, with the score 78 -77.
