Perhaps you will remember re-member his contest last year in which he offered cash prizes for the best selection for renaming the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Well, he's got another contest con-test and here are his rules: WE'RE FOR: Return of public lands to state control, Individual freedom, The free enterprise enter-prise system, and Constitutional Consti-tutional law and apple pie. WE'RE AGAINST: Big government, Big government spending , Bureaucrats, Excessive Government control, Confiscatory Confis-catory taxes, the Welfare state, Crazy environmentalists, environmental-ists, Socialism and Inflation. There is a sign outside town that says "WELCOME TO - BATTLE MOUNTAIN -BARITE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD". It has occurred to some of us that many tourists will stop to ask what barite is and we can plaster a bumpersticker on their car, advertising our point of view. Trouble is, we have no good bumper stickers, so we are going to have a little contest to get some suitable slogans. First prize will be $1,000, second prize, $500, third prize, $250, and five prizes of $50 each. Send entries to B.S. Contest, P.O. Box 251, Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820. The prize money is deposited with the Citizens for Mining in Battle Mountain and mem -bers of their executive com -mlttee will judge the contest and send the winners their prizes. We urge you to keep it clean, no obscene remarks, please. Words like lazy, inefficient, incompetent, stupid, morons, imbeciles and even bastards will be acceptable. If you're for something or against something, send it in. It might win. Let your imagination run wild. Contest closes December 10, 1978. Contest is open to everyone, even bureaucrats. |
