Show REGISTERATION FOR SUSC EVENING SCHOOL Classes as diversified as real estate finance and appraisals, ap-praisals, Polynesian Dancing, Danc-ing, and automotive mechanics mechan-ics will be included in the Continuing Education and Extended Day Program winter win-ter quarter at Southern Utah State College. Registration for the evening eve-ning school classes will be held in the SUSC Administration Adminis-tration Building from 4-7 p.m., January 6. The majority major-ity of the classes begin the week of January 9. : "We have developed the agenda to include a great variety of classes, using the 'something for everybody' approach," McRay Cloward, Dean of the SUSC School of Continuing Education, said. Schedules are available by contacting the SUSC, Registrar's Regis-trar's Office or Dr. Clow-ard's Clow-ard's Office in the Old Administration Ad-ministration Building, room 203. "The winter quarter agenda includes swim classes class-es for children as young as six years old, classes for persons interested in the arts, classes J,n industrial arts including thieve)" rPopi ular jewelry -making class, and a good many academic offerings," Cloward said. "There is even a re -entry class for persons to learn more about themselves and about what is available to them at the college: Services of the SUSC Counseling Department De-partment are available free of charge for anyone seeking seek-ing career advice." "We're especially pleased to announce that senior citizens citi-zens can attend any SUSC class, day school included, on a non -credit or audit basis, bas-is, by paying a single $10 yearly registration fee," the SUSC Dean said. Of the 42 classes being offered, 26 are available as Continuing Education, non-credit non-credit courses. This means that students will pay significantly sig-nificantly less to take one of these classes than they would if they choose to take the course for credit. Most of the evening school classes are held once a week, usually beginning around 6:30 p.m., enabling persons who work during the day to attend class sessions. |
