Show ROADLESS AREAS REVIEW COMPLETED Forest Supervisor Merlin I. Bishop announced recently recent-ly that he has completed review re-view of the public's suggestions sugges-tions for updating the Dixie National Forest Roadless and Undeveloped Area Review and Evaluation (RARE II). Mr. Bishop noted that over 50 individuals responded to the Forest's request for input in-put on RARE n. Several suggestions sug-gestions were received on possible additions or deletions dele-tions to the Roadless Area Inventory. In addition to the suggested changes in the inventory, in-ventory, many well thought-out thought-out recom m endations for de -velopment criteria to be used in evaluating inventoried areas for wilderness or non -wilderness uses were received. re-ceived. After reviewing all of the suggested inventory changes and in light of roadless area standards, it was found that some boundary changes should be made in three of the inventoried areas. No new areas were added. The final inventory of 10 areas totaling 341,425 acres along with public input has been forwarded to Regional Forester, Vern Hamre. The Dixie National Forest supporting sup-porting data will be combined combin-ed with that from other In-termountain In-termountain Region Forests and forwarded to the Forest Service's Washington Office for final analysis and evalua -tion.
