Show I Beaver 1 I High I Tales I I By Terry Lemon n The Beavers remain the only undefeated Region 8 team as they defeated the Parowan Rams, 28-7, in last Friday nights game. The Beavers were virtually virtual-ly unchallenged the entire game, as the Rams' only score came in the 4th quarter on a Beaver 2nd string intercepted inter-cepted pass that was run back 80 yards for the touchdown. The extra point was good. Beaver scored twice in the 1st quarter. First on a short Daniel Robinson power- punch up the middle and then on a Jeff Williams to Blair Smith pass. Beavers dominated the offensive of-fensive game racking up 486 yards while the Rams were only able to pick up 18 total to-tal yards. The Beavers will now challenge the No. Sevier Wolves in a Wednesday night game. The Beaver Homecoming turned out to be a big success. suc-cess. The days activities began with an alumni assembly as-sembly at 11:00 and at 2:00 Beaver hosted the Region Marching Band competition as part of the parade. Bands from No. Sevier, Kanab, and several others participated. At 7:00 the Homecoming game, Beaver vs. Parowan, turned out to be a great success; Beaver defeating Parowan, 28-7, under very cold conditions. After the game there was a dance in the new gym featuring "Justice" and honoring hon-oring the Homecoming Royalty which were: Daniel Robinson, King; Terrie Hutchings, Queen; Lorry Gurr and Pam Wright, 1st attendants; and Morgan Baldwin Bald-win and Nanette Smith, 2nd attendants. |
