The County ASC Committee Commit-tee for Beaver County presently pres-ently is composed of James B. Morgan, Duane Yard-ley, Yard-ley, and Ross Marshall. A committeeman is elected for three years. Terms are staggered so that one com mitteeman and two alternates alter-nates are elected each year. Ross Marshall's terms expires at the end of this year and he is eligible eli-gible to run in the election this year. Grant Esplin, county agricultural extension exten-sion agent, is a non -voting ex-officio member of the committee. Alternate county com -m Itteemen are elected at the time of the annual committeemen elections. If for any reason a committeeman com-mitteeman cannot serve, either temporarily or permanently, per-manently, the first alternate alter-nate committeeman serves in his place. McCoy Williams Wil-liams and Nick Leko are serving as alternates this year. Committee election will be conducted from Nov. 26 to Dec. 6 by mail ballot. ASC Committees are responsible re-sponsible for managing ernment farm programs on the local level. To meet the needs of Individual producers, pro-ducers, ASC Committee members must be concerned con-cerned and responsible individuals, in-dividuals, Mr. Gardner said. Beaver County farmers farm-ers have the opportunity to nominate persons they feel would best serve the farm community. Farmers Farm-ers have received petition forms by mail and are now submitting them to the county ASCS Office. A f e w basic considerations considera-tions should be kept in mind when circulating petitions, pe-titions, Mr. Gardner said. In order to be valid, petitions peti-tions must be limited to one nominee each, must include in-clude written certification that the nominee is willing will-ing to serve If elected, m ust be signed by at least three eligible farm voters in Beaver County, and must be received in the county ASCS Office no later than Nov. 1. A farmer may circulate or sign nominating petitions peti-tions for as many candidates candi-dates as he chooses. Anyone Any-one wishing to nominate a farmer for the ASC com-m com-m ittee election may contact the county ASCS Office for full details, including eligibility eli-gibility requirements for office holders.
