DIRECTORIES TO BE DELIVERED BY SEPTEMBER 23 More than 60,000 Southern Utah telephone directories will be delivered beginning September 23 according to Merrill Hymas, Provo District Manager for Mountain Moun-tain Bell. The area covered by the new book ranges from Fair-view Fair-view to Kanab and Beaver to St. George. A total of 39 communities are served by the new directory. "Those who do not recieve a directory by Sept. 27 should call their local business office," of-fice," Hymas said. This year a scenic cover features a large tree silhouetted sil-houetted against a sunset. The photograph was taken in the Rocky Mountain Region with warm gold being the basic color of the directory. The back cover of the directory contains a chart on long distance calling times and rates. Hymas pointed out that the first section in the new directory makes up a "Call Guide," a collection of various types of information regarding telephone use. Included In-cluded are area code listings, list-ings, rate schedules and dialing instructions for different kinds of calls. The directory also contains con-tains consumer tips on how telephone users may save time and money. Here's an example of one of the tips: "If you get a poor connection con-nection or are cut off on s long distance call, botl parties should hang up.
