Terry served a very delicious lunch to the following: fol-lowing: Flossie Rickerson, Lenora Finch, Nora Wright, Dora Smithson, Leanna Wo-mack Wo-mack and Pres. Dorothy Terry. Pres. Terry conducted a business meeting. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved, and the Treasurer's report accepted. Communications were read. Our national President of the V.F.W. will be in Salt Lake City September 20. She will also be interviewed on T.V. Letters read stating we contact con-tact schools and put on an essay contest on Voice of Democracy, "What America Means to Me." Pres. Terry will contact Mr. Pettey. It was voted we subscribe for the birthday calander . again this year. V.F.W. will sell their Buddy Poppies again this year, November 11, Veterans Day. The Auxiliary will sponsor a safetyprogram for Halloween Hallow-een and sleigh riding by putting put-ting floresent tape on the children's . clothes. They would like to work with the grade school teachers, and Ronald Gale and Dennis Cox will support the program. Mrs. Leanna Womack was a visitor. She is a member of the VJ.W . at Lander, Wyoming and hopes to make her home here for several VFW Auxiliary Has Regular Meeting V.F.W Aux. to Post 1546 held their reguar meeting at the home of Pres. Dorothy Terry. The evening started start-ed with finishing our project of tieing lap quilts for the Milford Hospital Senior Citizens. Citi-zens. Eight quilts were tied, seven were presented to Jackie Williams and one went to past Pres. Ethel Smith. Pictures were taken of eight Girl Scouts who tied one quilt. |
