He has been entertaining in Utah since September. He appeared on the TV show, Truth or Consequences. Among his traveling companions com-panions were; Freckles, Chico, Mike and Ike. They performed , with him all through his career and he referred to the dummys as part of his family. Afterthey did their part, he put them back in the suitcase and went in to the audience for two more pre-arranged "dummies", "dum-mies", James Davis and Peggy Smith. Mr. Backman sang and spoke as the two human "dummies" acted out the words. He then gave a demonstration demonstra-tion on Graphology; analyzing analy-zing people's handwriting to find their character traits. Students volunteered to help. It was an interesting pro. gram. Happy with their win over Milford last week, the Beavers Beav-ers travel to Gunnison on Jan. 20 to try to break the three-way tie between Gunnison, Gun-nison, Milford and Beaver. There will be a dance, sponsored by the Milford Youth Committee, after the No. Sevier ballgame Friday night. It will be hied in the old gym and the music will be by 'Justice'. SUSC will be entertaining the student body of Milford High at 1:30 on February 3rd with a play entitled, "Hello, Dolly". It should be quite an interesting event and all the students are urged to come and support it. |
