Show Beaver High Tales blocked a punt and Dale Os-born Os-born recovered and ran it back to the 19 yard line, but Beaver was unable to capitalize capi-talize on the play. Near the end of the first half, after a 78 yard drive, Ricky Jarvis plowed up the middle for another an-other TD. The extra point was good. With 1 minute left in the half, the Wolves again fumbled and Chad Dalton ran the 30 yards for the final score of the first half. The halftime program was presented by the Beaver B-Steps B-Steps with a fine precision routine. In the third quarter of the game the ball changed hands several times until Dean Eyre got the ball to Mike Robinson, who made the TD. The 2 -point conversion attempt at-tempt failed. North Sevier tried a 28 yard field goal, but it was wide. In the final seconds of the game, the Wolves tried long pass, but it was intercepted by Roger Don Marshall, ending the game with another shutout for Beaver, 38-0. A Deer Hunters Ball was held after the game at the National Guard Armory. Beaver High has an AM-FM AM-FM radio station which is run by the students taking the radio class. They broadcast each weekday under the direction di-rection of Wallace Dean, the class instructor. The radio station also broadcasts all home football games. KBBD is located on 90.1 FM and The Beaver High Golf Team had a match Tuesday with Kanab, Delta and Paro-wan. Paro-wan. Beaver won the match played under windy conditions condi-tions at the Canyon Breeze Golf Course. Beaver's team: Mitch Oakden (95), Jeff Lee (93), Terry Lemon(87), Roger Rog-er Don Marshall (105), and Becky Smith (99), for a total of 374, which easily won the match. Second place team was Delta with 488; third was Parowan and Kanab, fourth. A Cross-country Race took place Wednesday afternoon after-noon with runners from all over Region 8. The race had about 30 participants. The 2 12 mile course started from the Canyon Breeze Golf Course and ended at the High School track. First place went to Wasatch Academy, second place to Kanab, third to Piute and fourth to Enterprise. Enter-prise. The Beavers played the North Sevier Wolves Thursday Thurs-day night under the lights at Beaver for the second time this season. Another Beaver shut-out started right off as Mitch Oakden took the opening open-ing kick-off 89 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was good. One minute later North Sevier's quarterback misjudged a handoff to his fullback and fumbled. Tony White recovered and ran 40 yards for the TD. The extra point attempt was wide. Wells Farrer, Vo-Ag, shop and building construction construc-tion teacher, was awarded a diamond pin for his 30 years of service as Vo-Ag teacher in Beaver. He received this award during UEA Convention Conven-tion by the Utah Vo-Ag Teachers Association. Congratulations Con-gratulations Mr. Farrer! |
