He slop and Dell R. Van Orden. It was about the POW's who came home and about their hardships while in the prison camps. Truman and Merle Brad-field Brad-field visited for a week in Sprlngvllle with their children, child-ren, Gary and Mary Lu Perkins Perk-ins and family. Delmer and Ilene Gray went to Las Vegas Sunday to meet Ilene's brother, K and his wife. The two couples then went on to Calif, to visit Mervin and Ada Edwards visited their children in St. George and Bloomington for a few days during the week. Bernice Limb and children Russell and Vickie of West Jordon were in town Saturday visiting relatives. Dohn and Mildren Martin are back in town getting settled set-tled again for the summer ahead, after being gone for the winter months. Bartt Hollingshead, son of Keith and Shirley Hollingshead, Hollings-head, has received his call to serve on an LDS mission. He will be going to Taiwan and will leave May 10. Not much news In town this week. Seems like everyone went to Provo to attend the basketball tournament, even Karl and I went. We stayed over Sunday to visit with 'Lou' and Donna Moser and family; came home in the big snow storm. Jay and Rhoda Browner of Las Vegas came up Tuesday to visit overnight with relatives. rela-tives. They went on to Provo to the ball games and to Kearns to visit their mother, Vella Stephenson, and Jay's sister and family. Ruth Hayward and son Bus and his wife Sidney of Ely, Nev. were in town Saturday visiting relatives. Imelda Banks visited in Moapa a few days with her husband, Wells. Robert and Rayma Strong and baby were visitors at the home of Arshal and Lela Ev ans during the week. The Strongs are from Wenatchee, Washington. Ruben and Emily r itson and Jolyn spent the weekend In Provo and Salt Lake. Gwen Pryor rode up with them to visit her children in Granger and Ogden. Howard went up Sunday to bring her home. Gary and Sherleen Bed-dingfield Bed-dingfield and boys of Cedar City visited Sunday with parents, par-ents, Daisel and Wilma Davis. Da-vis. Roldo Robinson and his mother, Alvaretta Robinson, were here over the weekend visiting. Patsy Hollingshead of Pa-naca, Pa-naca, Nev. was a weekend visitor of her parents, Floyd and Beulah Wood. Raul and Dixie Pearson and boys were in Caliente, Nev. Saturday night and Sunday Sun-day visiting Dixie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Baker, for her father's birthday. Leslie and Kay Gray and children Debra and Kevin visited their folks, Delmer and Ilene Gray. They also did some skiing at Mt. Holly. Scott Eyre, son of Spencer '. and Linda Eyre, celebrated his birthday on Mar. 17 with a party to which his school mates were invited. Scott was 7 years old. The Literary Club held their meeting Wednesday evening at the home of Effie Marshall with Leila Carter as co -hostess. Pres. Dorothy Doro-thy Wood was In charge. |
