Sophia McMillien and her sister, Mrs. Elise Brougham of Denver, Colo., spent the weekend here visiting their aunt and uncle, the Hampton Burdes. Sophia McMillien, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Burke, has accepted a position posi-tion at the University of Hawaii Ha-waii as a Librarian. Spending a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Banks was Mrs. Brent Solomon Solo-mon of McGill. Nev. Bert and Merlin Merry-weather Merry-weather received word of the birth of a new granddaughter grand-daughter born March 1st to Martin and Sharon Merry-weather Merry-weather of Orem. She has been named Klmerly and she joins three sisters and one brother at home. Merlin spent last week enjoying and helping out at the Merry-weather Merry-weather home. Herb and Zelda- Coon, Blair and Mary and also Jana and Kevin Corbridge were in Provo for the basketball tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bond received word last week that their son, Marvin Horton of Nampa, Idaho, was in the Nampa hospital with a heart attack. They report that he is progressing nicely. Mr. David Horlacher and son John spent Wednesday through Saturday in Provo attending the basketball tournament. On Thursday he was also at the University of Utah to hear Lois Price give her 10 -minute science and humanities speech. Alice Elmer also was there to hear the speech. The Horlachers also attended to other business busi-ness while in Provo. Many Milfordltes were seen at the 4-day basketball tournament. tourna-ment. Lynda Nielsen and two children spent last week visiting vis-iting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hansen, in Brig-ham Brig-ham City. Thursday, March 13th, Leah Pullem hosted a Bridge Club party for Joan Holland, Margie Harton, Pat Rimpau, Iha Norton, Phyllis Hickman, Eva Banks and guests, Fern Burbidge and Vergie Goodwin. Beulah Pipher is visiting relatives In Provo for a few days. Beatrice Oxley was in Provo last weekend visiting her daughter, Amanda, who is a student at BYU. David Pullem met his father, fa-ther, David Pullem, Sr., at Provo last weekend. His father fa-ther attended the games to shoot scenes of the various basketball games played for Channel 2. David also visited visit-ed with a brother, Gregory, who lives in Salt Lake City. Jack and Gwen Ogden and son Kevin drove to Delta to help celebrate the birthdays of Jill, Lynn and Ray Jackson Jack-son on Mar. 13 and 14. They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. LeRay Jackson. While there they also visited with their son and family, Rodney and Gerry Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden were in Provo last weekend to attend the basketball tournament. tour-nament.
