',.' fv 3 ", j , i , -- . .. . .j Mho Lori Eyre NEW OWNERS AT GRAYS DINER "Only the management has changed, we'll still offer the same good food at reasonable prices", said Dewey Hawkins, Jr. when contacted at Gray's Diner, Tuesday morning. "The only change at present is the addition of fresh homemade home-made pies baked daily," he said. The Diner, operated the past three years by Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Gray, who have recently re-cently moved to Minersville, where Mr. Gray works at the Milking Barn. Mrs. Gray said she plans just to relax for a-while. a-while. The Hawkins are not total strangers to Milford. Mrs. Hawkins Haw-kins (Jerrie), is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. "Spec" Banks of Milford. While they have lived in Granada Hills, California for the past eighteen years, they have made many trips back to Milford. Mr. Hawkins has been very active in the past with the U. A.W., serving as president, and business agent of the local u-nion, u-nion, and vice president, and secretary af the national. Other members of the Hawkins Haw-kins family are Robin, 14, and Brian, 16. SUMMER STORY HOUR STARTS The Summer Story Hour will begin at the Milford City Library Li-brary on Thursday, July 9th, under the direction of Mrs. Dale Jensen and Mrs. Phyllis Whittaker. This program will continue for only four weeks, and will be held every Thursday Thurs-day during July. 7 to 11 year olds will meet at 10 a. m. 4 to 6 year olds will meet at 11 a. m. Parents are urged to encourage encour-age their children to attend. If more information is needed, call Mrs. Jensen at 387-2656. |
