Show a compass hike. The girls carved and painted "friendship sticks" to present to the counsellors. On the last evening our troop conducted the traditional Indian Campfire Ceremony, inviting the entire camp. The ceremony included a fire-lighting, Indian songs and dances, and an original legend written and read by Tammy Williams. Girls attending were Debbie and Chellie Rose, Shanna Walker, Debra Miller ,Tammy Williams, Mary Coon and Lu-Ann Lu-Ann Jimenez. Krissy Killam visited camp the last day. John and Margaret Killam. took the girls from camp to Salt Lake, and they visited Hogle Zoo and Temple Square before returning home. GIRL SCOUTS ENJOY CAMP AT RED CLIFFE Junior Girl Scout Troop 535 spent four days last week at Camp Red Cliffe in Ogden Canyon. The girls, with their leader, Nai Beard, and troop committee commit-tee chairman, Jackie Williams, were able to realize and enjoy en-joy some of the benefits of the cookie sale. Huge tents were erected over cement floors, with a spring cot and mattress for each person. Each unit contained con-tained a circle and a box fireplace, fire-place, tables with benches, latrine, la-trine, etc. The showers had hot and cold water. One meal each day was prepared pre-pared by the cooks and eaten in the large bowery back of the lodge. Fourteen counsellors helped the girls with all activities. ac-tivities.
