Show DELTA RABBITS DEFEAT TIGERS 1 I Milford's Tigers, plagued by the flu epidemic, dropped a 6-pointer 6-pointer to the Delta Rabbits last Friday evening on the Mil-i Mil-i ford court, and local casaba en-j en-j thusiasts immediately started j laying steak-dinner bets that Milford would defeat Delta in the second go-round at Delta ! on Saturday, Feb. 10. j Art Stewart, big gun of the Milford offense, was a victim of the "bug" but racked up 12 points in the second half (he did not play in the first half) ! and gave the Tigers the spark I they needed to turn a 10-point I halftime deficit into a 1-point lag with 2V4 minutes left in j the game. A couple of foul calls against the local lads accounted ac-counted for four of the six points Delta had at the end, and with breaks going the other way, Milford might very well have won the game. The Tigers did well; they played a good game. Their team effort was disrupted by illness. They should defeat the Rabbits in their second encounter en-counter at Delta. This week is a "bye" for the home club, but they have a non-league game scheduled with the Cedar City Redmen, on Saturday . . . they may face Cedar in the round robin to select State Tourney teams.
