Show NOTES FROM THE FISH and GAME DEPARTMENT CONFISCATED WEAPONS TO BE SOLD A public auction will be held at the Cedar City office of the Fish and Game Commission on Friday, Sept. 15, at 5 p. m. to dispose of one shotgun, two rifles, three fishing poles with reels and a fishing creel, confiscated con-fiscated from Fish and Game law violators. The items will be on display Thursday, Sept. 14, and on the 15th for one hour before the sale. COTTONTAILS WILL EE LEGAL SEPT. 23 Cottontail labbits become legal le-gal targets with the season opening on Sept. 23 this year and will continue open through March 1. Rules adopted by the Board of Fish and Game set the daily bag limit at 10 with a possession posses-sion limit of 20. In Beaver County there are no restrictions restric-tions on the type of firearm which may be used. Hunters 12 and over must have either a small game license li-cense or a combination license, end the young hunters 12 thru 15 must be aocompanied by someone 21 years or older while they are hunting. Cottontails are the only rabbit rab-bit in Utah considered a game animal and these regulations do not apply to other species of rabbit. |
