Show NEXT WEEK IS HOSPITAL WEEK National Health Week, May 8-14, takes on a special significance this year in Milford. The Milford Valley Me norial Hospital is one institution insti-tution among thousands preparing for a new alliance for health the government-financed hospital and medical med-ical care program for the a,ed known as Medicare. I A program as large and complex as Medicare is bound to have some problems, Lee Schiedeman, administrator of the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital, said, but it is not going go-ing to change the day to day operation of the hospital. The over-65 group on the average occupies approximately one-half one-half of the beds already, at the Milford hospital, he said. What the program does is ease the burden of hospital expense for Medicare patients. Milford Valley Memorial Hospital will continue to provide pro-vide high quality care for all patients, the administrator said, and at the same time work in the alliance to provide a healthy, heal-thy, happy, and fuller life for older Americans under Medicare, |
