Mrs. Dorothy Gale and Mrs. Lola Hollingshead will attend a nurses' convention at the U of U Student Union building in Salt Lake Thursday, and Miss Jennie Sue Smith will attend the convention on Friday. Fri-day. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mayer recently enjoyed a trip to Scotsdale, Ariz., to see their son Melvin, who is a senior at Thunderbird Academy. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schiede-man, Schiede-man, James Mayer and Mrs. Lillian- Mayer drove to Lodi, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Schiede-man Schiede-man and James attended the 50th Lodi High School Alumni Anniversary meeting. S Word has been received of the birth of a daughter, April 17, in Granger to Mr. and Mrs. Blaine J. Lund. Mr. Lund is a former Milford resident. Mrs. Fred Moir and children have left for Salt Lake to join her husband,- who is employed there by the U P. e Mrs. Lola Banks was in Salt Lake Sunday and Monday, and visited her son who is attending at-tending the University of Utah. 0 After receiving word of a new grandson, Mrs. William Cox left for Coos Bay, Oregon, to get acquainted with the newcomer. He was born April Ap-ril 4 to Dr. and Mrs. W. W. Cox. Mr. Cox plans to join the family in Coos Bay on May 1. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Maddox returned Wednesday from Salt Lake, where Mr. Maddox underwent un-derwent back surgery. O John C. Murdock of Bakers-field, Bakers-field, Calif., was a visitor this week at the home of his brother broth-er and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs .Joseph a Murdock. The i two brothers are now spending a few days in Salt Lake, a Mel Osborn, former Milford resident and son of Mr. and Mrs. Dern Osborn of Beaver, has returned from an LDS mission. He and his mother were in Milford Sunday visiting vis-iting relatives. Jimmy Skillicorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Skillicorn, is now in the National Guard stationed at Fort Ord, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Jack McKeon of Whittier, Caiif., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smithson. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Johnson John-son attended the Jimmy Dean show at the Valley Music Hall. Bill Coon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Coon, who suffered suf-fered a broken jaw when he was kicked by a horse, has been admitted to a Provo hospital hos-pital where he will undergo sureery Mrs. Grace Sanders returned to her home in Salt Lake after visiting her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Lund. David Reese is now at home after undergoing eye surgery April 15 in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake. Mrs. Hazel Moore spent the week end in Cedar City visiting visit-ing her son, Ed Carlocker, who is recovering from euramic poisoning, and her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Carlocker. Mrs .Mae Colborn left Wednesday Wed-nesday evening for Denver, Colo., to visit a daughter. Miss Janean Carelocker of St. Helena, Calif., called on her grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Moore, one day last week. e Elwood Jefferson is in Los Angeles for a medical check-ap. check-ap. He is a guest of his son in law and daughter, Ronnie and Judy Gilliam. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Banks and three chlidren of Las Vegas visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Banks, en route to the northern part of the state to visit her folks. Miss Deloris Banks suffered a cracked foot bone when she fell at her home. James Cox, Milford telegrapher, tele-grapher, is in Salt Lake training train-ing to be a U P dispatcher. Mrs. Cox and their two sons are with him. Mr. and Mrs. Val Thompson Thomp-son and daughter Valerie of Tooele were here Saturday to attend the wedding and reception recep-tion for Jerry and Karen (Thompson) Acord. They were |
