Show Mrs. James Eyre, returned home with Leah Ruth for a week's vacation in Delta. 5 Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Miles and children of California are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre. The Mia Maid class, under direction of their teacher, Mrs. Vie Marshall, held its annual honor night and rose tieing ceremony last week. Twelve girls participated in this event. After the program the girls served cookies and punch to their mothers and MIA officers. offi-cers. O Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson of California are visiting their many friends and relatives in Minersville. 6 Mr. and Mrs. Allen Carter and children of Salt Lake visited vis-ited over the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sheral Carter. Mrs. Patricia (Carter) Nelson and children of Mountain Home, Idaho, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter. e Miss Glenn a Davis accompanied accom-panied Mrs. Elaine (Evans) Limb to Salt Lake last week to visit Mr. and Mrs. Al Morin and son. Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Gray and Justin motored to St. George last week to enroll Justin at Dixie College, where he has a scholarship. While there they visited their son, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gray and children who are preparing to move to Las Vegas, and Ilene's father, I. H. Lamb. Mrs. Helen Larsen and children chil-dren of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Bertha Dalton and son Paul of Mesa, Ariz, left Saturday for their homes, stopping in Las Vegas for an evening, after visiting vis-iting their mother, Mrs. Amanda Aman-da Nolder. Ern Myers, who has been operating a diner in Minersville, Miners-ville, closed the establishment and has moved to Nehalem, Oregon. Minersville teachers for the coming year are: Mrs. Lillian McKnight, principal, will teach the 5th and 6th grades; Milton Albrecht, 7th and 8th grades; Robert Puffer, 3rd and fourth grades; Mrs. Bernice Gillins, 1st and 2nd grades; Mrs. Frieda Wood, kindergarten in the mornings, physical education, home economics and remedial reading in the afternoons. Marshall Hollingshead, who has taught in the Minersville schools, will teach this year at Beaver Belknap school. O Mrs. Calvin (Bonnie) Eyre and two daughters of Las Vegas were at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre last week. His fiancee, Miss Colleen Col-leen Warner of Salt Lake, accompanied ac-companied him and was a house guest of the Jamesons. Visiting at the Earl Limb home the past week were Rema's sisters, Mrs. Joan Ash-worth Ash-worth and children of Ely and Mrs. Carla Mcintosh and children chil-dren of Salt Lake. Miss Gayle Truman, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, Tru-man, was honored at a bridal shower on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the home of her parents. Miss Truman's fiancee, Bill Peterson of Salt Lake, was a week end guest at the Truman home. Paula and Jill Kirk, daughters daugh-ters of Jack and Joy (Hollingshead) (Hollings-head) Kirk of Los Angeles, are visiting their grandmother, Mrs. Lois Hollingshead. 9 A farewell testimonial for Neal Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter, was held Sunday evening in the ward chapel. A farewell party for Neal was given by his Sunday School class Monday, Aug. 31, in the ward recreation hall. Neal will serve in the Cu-morah Cu-morah mission field and will leave on Sept. 7th.
