Show TWO INJURED IN CAR CRASHES By Gwen PPryor Two persons were injured, one seriously, in separate auto accidents this week between Minersville and Cedar City. Carl Talbot, Hinckley, suffered, suffer-ed, face lacerations requiring 31 stitches when a cattle truck he was driving overturned on the Iron County side of the mountains moun-tains about 1 p. m. Monday. Talbot said he swerved to avoid a car traveling at high speed, and the weight of the cattle shifting to one side caused the truck to overturn. Six of the prime steers, destined des-tined for the Pace Auction at Delta, were injured so badly they had to be slaughtered. Talbot was treated at the Beaver County Hospital. Wednesday three youths, age 16 and 17, suffered injuries when their car climbed a pile of large rocks at the Iron and Beaver County line, after the steering gear failed. The entire en-tire under side of the car was ripped out, including wheels and the motor. Eddie Mecham of Bountiful suffered a severed artery in his hand. He was treated at the Beaver County Hospital. |
