Show Bennett Asks. Aid for Beaver Co. Projects Senator Wallace F. Bennett has asks President Kennedy to approve 70 small water conservation conser-vation projects in Utah, including includ-ing four in Beaver County. All of the projects, according to Senator Bennett, could be completed in time to be of assistance as-sistance during the expected drought this summer. The list of projects was prepared pre-pared by the Utah Water and Power Board, Which considered 197 projects, and eliminated all but 70, which could be completed com-pleted this summer, all of which are considered economically feasible. The projects would be financed fin-anced under the Agricultural Conservation Program Service and the Farmers Home Administration Admin-istration emergency loan pro-pram. pro-pram. President Kennedy advised ad-vised Senator Bennett this week that he had asked the agencies to give prompt consideration con-sideration to the emergency request. re-quest. The projects in Beaver County are: North Divide Grazing Company, Com-pany, well drilling, total cost, $2,000; Federal share, $1,800. North Divide Cattle Association, Associ-ation, pipeline and troughs, total cost $4,000; Federal share, $4,000. Stanley McKnight and Milton Mil-ton Albrecht, well drilling, total cost, $4,000; Federal share, $3,000. Rocky Ford Irrigation Company, Com-pany, irrigation wells, total cost, $50,000; Federal share, $47,000. |
