It is hoped that Miss Utah also will be able to attend to assist in the ribbon-cutting ceremonies. The local civic group is sponsoring sponsor-ing a tour of the beautiful Beaver Canyon area for as many of the officials of-ficials as care to attend, thus rounding out the day's festivities. The contract for this important section of road was let in June, 1959, to Wells Cargo Construction Company of Las Vegas, and Southern South-ern Utah residents can well be proud of the beautiful section of highway now nearing completion. The Lions Club should be commended com-mended for its interest in this important im-portant project, and every citizen should plan to attend the official opening of a highway that means so much to the future of all Southern South-ern Utah. |
