Bishop Director, Beaver County Health Department The Beaver County Health Department De-partment has been fortunate in obtaining ob-taining from the Utah State Department De-partment of Public Health for showing in Beaver County a' film that is very much in demand in the state. The importance of this film for educational purposes is seen in its purchase by the' Utah State Firemens Association and the health departments of Salt Lake City, Ogden, and other of the larger lar-ger cities in Utah. This film, "Rescue Breathing," has a highpriority highpri-ority rating and the Beaver County Health Department has been on the waiting list for nearly a year. In addition to the showing of the film, which demonstrates the newest new-est method of resuscitation, Miss Julie Ann Larrer, a recent graduate gradu-ate of the American Red Cross-sponsored Cross-sponsored National Aquatic School, will demonstrate this mouth-to-mouth breathing as well as other methods. Miss Farrer also will go into detail as to the comparative merits of the various rescue breathing breath-ing methods and their uses. Since Julie Am' Farrer, a recent gradu-Cross gradu-Cross certificates in life saving, swimming and water safety, she is qualified as an instructor and will be prepared to answer questions on life saving, first aid, and boating boat-ing safety regulations. The film will be shown to Beaver City residents at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at the Belknap School; in Minersville at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the school building; and in Milford at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Wednes-day, Sept 21, at the Milford High School. There is no admission charge and the importance of seeing this film and demonstration may be the difference dif-ference between wringing your hands and tearing your hair while a loved one dies, and being able to take over and perhaps save him or her. Water is not the only killer. There are asphixiation, suffocation, s t r a n gulation, electrical shocks, poisons, and many other accidents that stop the breathing YOU might be able to start again IF you have the training. |
