Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Skiilicorn, son Jimmy and daughter, Mrs. Janice Barnes and baby, left Wednesday for Salt Lake where they plan to spend several days. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams and daughter Linda, and boy friend Dennis Jensen, all of Nampa, Idaho, were in Milford Saturday thru Monday. O Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Coon returned re-turned to Milford Wednesday after spending a week in Southern South-ern California, visiting at the home of their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Blair Cook, at La Mirada, and also visiting Mr. Coon's mother and brother and other relatives. Relatives of Helen Jean Gillins who attended graduation exercises exer-cises here included Gary and Lois Gillins of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rehnstrom, and Mrs. Hazel Eyre, all of Beaver. state calling on their children and families. Mr. Grimshaw has retired from the U P Railroad. 9 Gordon Bradshaw, Milford High School principal, plans, to attend summer school at Oregon State College, Eugene, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Long and children have been vacationing in California. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Sheriff were a daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Fowler and small son Stephen Dale; two sisters of Mrs. Sheriff, Mb. Inez Chamron of Provo and Mrs. Edith. Lumbell of Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Anderson, new arrivals in South Milford, are living in Nthe former Campbell Camp-bell home. Mr. Anderson is with, the AT&T relay station in Milford. Tillie 'Rae Dixon has moved from the U P depot to one of Mrs. Al Kirk's rental apartments on Main Street. Mrs. Alice Elmer is attending summer school at the CSU in Cedar City. e Donald Munk left Wednesday for Cedar Ci.y. He will be employed em-ployed at the Escalante Hotel and plar.s to attend summer classes at tho CSU. Mr. and Mrs. Don Helvvig are br.ck in Milford after spending thj winter in California. The couple has retired and spend thir summers here. They have purchased the James Westergard h mie. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Yount and children are in California vacationing. vaca-tioning. Mr. and Mrs. Al Harold of Bikorsfield, Calif., were in Milford Mil-ford to accompany friends Mr. a:i(l Mrs. Don Elmer fishing in the Beaver Mountains on opening dny. e Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Grimshaw are in ihs northern part of the Joe M. Lee, U S G S employe, has moved with his family from a trailer court to the Forgie Apartments. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Edlefsen and children have moved to Logan, Lo-gan, Mr. Edlefsen, principal at the Milford Elementary school the past two years, plans to attend at-tend summer school at the USU and work on his Doctor's degree. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Myers have moved to Duchesne. Mrs. Jean Hanlcy is employed at Culver's Family Store. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Winn have moved into one of the Kohler Apartments on Main Street, o Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Calkins are spending three weeks in Tennessee, Ten-nessee, and upon returning West will make their home in Las Vegas where Mr. Calkins will be pastor of the Seventh-day Ad-ventist Ad-ventist Church. A replacement for Mr. Calkins at Milford has I not been named. 1 a Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schramm ! have purchased the Puffer Lake Lodge from Mr. and Mrs. Ed Larson. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brimberry and Keith Whittaker have returned re-turned to Milford. They had been employed in Philomath, Oregon. Ota Morris of Salt Lake spent a week in Milford at the home of his son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Dave W. Morris. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Carter, who are now living in Provo, are spending their vacation in Milford. Mil-ford. Myrtle and Ray Mills of Provo spent last week in Milford. They returned to their home Tuesday. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Galloway of Salt Lake are in Milford for a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Galloway. Mrs. 0. R. Smith left Wednesday Wednes-day for California to visit her children and their families. In Castor Valley she will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Owen R. Smith Jr., and in Berkeley at the home of Mrs. Rosalie Klein and daughter Waunice. Waunice will return to Milford with Mrs. Smith on June 18 to spend the summer with her grandparents. Mrs. Lula Yither has returned to Milford after spending a few weeks in Salt Lake. While there she was confined to a hospital for four days. Vernon Burns was admitted to the Beaver County Hospital Wednesday Wed-nesday for medical treatment. Mrs. Theckla Miller of Bountiful Bounti-ful and son Walter, who is employed em-ployed in Delta, were in Milford last week. Mr. and Mrs. William Davis and twin daughters were in Coon Rapids, Iowa, for two weeks at the home of Mrs. Davis' mother, Mrs. I. G. Chrystal. Mrs. Hazel Moore announces the graduation of her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Carelocker, from the Modesto, Calif., College, with a degree in Education. She plans to teach art. Two daughters of Mrs. Carelocker, are graduating, Carolyn Hazel from the Milo' Oregon, High School, and Jonen Mae from the Eighth Grade at Oakland, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Alexander of Alvany, Oregon, are in Milford Mil-ford at the home of Mrs. Alexander's Alex-ander's brother in law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rimpau. Mr. and Mrs. Gael Elmer slopped in Milford a few days to leave two of their children for Mrs. Carl Elmer to care for while they enjoy a California vacation. va-cation. Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Jones are living in a trailer house near the Donald Jones home. Mr. and Mrs. Jones have retired from the milk distributing business, which is now being conducted by Clair Gillins. (Held Over from Last Week) 9 Memorial Day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Hol-lingshead Hol-lingshead included Mr. and Mrs. Garland Hollingshead and Mrs. Athella Blad of Panaea; Mrs. Melba Wood and family of Cedar City, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hollingshead of Delta. Mr. and Mrs. James Hollingshead Hollings-head and family attended an LDS Temple wedding in St. George Wednesday for a niece, Miss Wanda Thompson. e Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Collier left for Orem, where they will spend the summer. Mr. Collier will not return to Milford to teach this fall. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Roland Culver were in Salt Lake three days last week for Market Week. 9 Mrs. Hannah Bealer returned to Milford Saturday after spending spend-ing two weeks in the East. She was accompanied by a daughter, Mrs. Lois Peterson, and granddaughter grand-daughter Elizabeth, who plan to visit in Milford indefinitely. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Keith Long and two sons have been in Iowa visiting vis-iting relatives. Mr. Long returned home, while Mrs. Long plans to remain for a longer visit at the home of Mr. Lang's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Long in DeWitt, Iowa. 9 Chad and Delia Dallin of Springville have been in Milford : the past week. They called on Mrs. Nettie Kirk, and Monday were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wal-ter McCulley, and visited other relatives and friends. 9 Mrs. Nettie Kirk returned to Milford last week after spending the winter with her children in Southern California. 9 Mrs. E. M. McCulley of Las Vegas arrived in Milford to attend at-tend the graduation services for her niece Susan. 9 Susan McCulley will be employed em-ployed in the business office of Dr. Oakes in Provo this summer. She will also take several classes at the BYU and plans to enroll for the regular -school year at the BYU this fall. 9 Jimmy Skiilicorn and girl friend, Miss Judy Lewis of Kanab, both students at the CSU, were in Milford to be present at the graduation of Jimmy's sister, |
