Show ' mm m um mum Miss Roxie Paramore of Salt Lake and a friend, Bill Springer, spent Christmas in Beaver with Bishop and Mrs. Kerksiek and family. Mr. Springer is a resident of Seattle, Wash., but is stationed with the Air Force at Santa Maria, Calif. Joe Hutchings of Ely and Rayma of Salt Lake spent Christmas with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Boyter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Baker spent the holidays in California visiting their son Nolan and family at Lancaster, Lan-caster, and with Lynn and family at Edwards. Holiday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Vickers were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Skinner and two daughters of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. George Whornham of Idaho Falls visited Mr. and Mrs. Presley Whornham and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwob en route to California on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Blake Smith, accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Myers of Milford vacationed in California during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Yardley and I children and Mrs. Charles Lindsay enjoyed a holiday vacation to Cal-i Cal-i ifornia where they visited Mr. and j Mrs. John K. (Virginia) Cassidy I in Topanga Canyon, Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Norma) Santillo at Mal-I Mal-I ibu, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lindsay and I others. While visiting Mrs. Lindsay's Lind-say's daughter, Mrs. Cassidy, they were isolated by a forest fire. Lt. Frame Manzione spent a week at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Manzione. He returned to his base at Reese Air Force Base, Texas, Friday. Bob Nowers spent Christmas in Compton, Calif., with his son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hall. Mrs. Ruby McMullin enjoyed the New Year week end in Salt Lake with her son Douglas and family. Annabell joined her there on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smith spent the New Year holiday in Califor-: Califor-: nia. While there they visited Mr. l and Mrs. Barry (Doreen) Black-bum. HONORED AT TESTIMONIAL A missionary farewell service will be held Sunday evening, Jan. 11, in the Beaver First-Third Ward Chapel to honor David Lynn Pearce, who will leave soon to fill an LDS mission in Argentina. David Lynn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David R. Pearce. He graduated from Beaver High School three years ago and has since been attending the U S U at Loan. HOME ON LEAVE Delbert Yardley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Yardley, who is serv,-ing serv,-ing in the U S Navy, arrived home Friday for a week's leave. He has been serving on the USS Halsey Powell in the South Pacific. Pa-cific. He leaves Wednesday to report back to duty at San Francisco. Fran-cisco. WITH THE SICK Ross Cutler suffered a stroke Sunday morning while Mrs. Cutler was attending Sunday School. Mrs. Cutler found her husband on the floor, paralyzed, upon her return from the church. Monday his son Cole 'and wife took him to their home in Salt Lake, accompanied accompa-nied by Mrs. Cutler, and he is reported re-ported much improved. Hugh Cartwright returned home Sunday from the Iron County Hospital Hos-pital where he had been a patient. Bishop Walter Kerksiek is improved im-proved from his recent illness and is now able to resume his teaching at the seminary. 0 Mrs. Jane Moore and baby of Ogden are home to spend some time with her mother, Mrs. Nell Cartwright, while her husband Glenn is employed in Arizona. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hoagland and Arlene Edwards of Henderson spent the holidays in Manderfield with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Edwards. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Warren Smith spent the holidays in Englewood, Calif., with friends. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Earl Grimshaw and Marie enjoyed a holiday trip to Phoenix and Mesa, Ariz., and also visited relatives at Parker. 0 Miss Pat Robinson of Los Angeles An-geles was a New Year guest of Mrs. Bernice Thompson and Terry. 0 Home to enjoy New Year's dinner din-ner together at the home of Mr.' and Mrs. LeGrande Gale were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gale, Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Don Gale, Milford; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Adams, Anaheim, Calif., Mr. .and Mrs. Ren Talbot, Paragonah; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boyter, Beaver, Beav-er, and all their children; and Mr. Gale's mother, Mrs. Jane Gale. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Roy Firmage, their daughter and two grandchildren were holiday visitors with Roy's mother, Mrs. W.
