Show Items of Interest About People You Know Mrs. Edgar C. Edwards. Miss Edwards Ed-wards was one of the speakers at sacrement meeting Sunday in the First Ward. The family reunion of Mr. and Mrs. George Bradshaw of Beaver was held Saturday at Indian Creek Canyon. Out of town guests included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bradshaw Brad-shaw and family, Springville; Mr and Mrs. Larry Edwards and son, Ogden; Mrs. Karl Merryweather, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bradshaw and family and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bradshaw, Cedar City; and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar C. Edwards, Milford. Recent visitors at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins were Carl Murdock of Orem, and Mr. Gillins' brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rodgers and two daughters of Logandale, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tribole and six children of Long Beach, Calif., spent the 24th holidays at the home of Mr. Tribole's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Tribole. While here the family enjoyed fishing in the Beaver Mountains and scenic tours ; in the Milford area. Mrs. Lena Morris returned Saturday Sat-urday after spending two weeks in Ogden with her son and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Foster Morris and children, Rodney, Roger and Janet. She also called on Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hewitt while in Ogden. Miss Mary Garst of Coon Rapids, Iowa, stopped in Miford with her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Davis, en route to San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson spent the 24th holidays in Salt Lake, attending the rodeo and a Glenn Davis family get-together at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Warner. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson are Mrs. 1 Thompson's brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Ahrend-sen Ahrend-sen and two children of Tacoma, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Leand M. Cum-mings Cum-mings of Salt Lake spent the 24th holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline. MR. AND MRS. RICHARD L. JONES announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Joanne, to Mr. Carl Lowe. The marirage is planned for the early part of September. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Fisher have returned to Milford for the remainder re-mainder of the summer. They have been doing Temple work in St. George since September. Ricky Fisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fisher of Idaho Falls, arrived in Milford July 23 to visit his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Fisher, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Keetch . and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Rowley will leave Friday for a vacation trip, j Mr. and Mrs. Darvel Fielding of Roy were visitors at the home of Mrs. Fielding's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Rowley. The group spent a few days at Panguitch V Lake. On their return home they took their son David, who had spent two months with his grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rowley. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stonehocker and daughter Margaret of Salt Lake visiting relatives over the week end. They were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Max Mecham. Waunice Klein, who is spending the summer with her grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. 0. R. Smith, visited an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, in Cedar City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Edwards and baby son, Larry Brent, and Mrs. Karl Merryweather were week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar C. Edwards. They returned re-turned home Sunday, taking Pamela Pam-ela with them to spend a week. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Leeper and four children of San Bernardino, Calif., Carl Raymond and Colleen Briscoe were in Milford over the 24th holidays. Carl Raymond has been working in Bakersfield and at the present is working at Zion National Park. Colleen has been visiting the Leepers. Mrs. Isa Prothero has returned to her home in Parowan after spending a week with her sister, Mrs. Eva Beard. Mrs. Vic Nichols, who has been employed as a clerk at Cedar City by the Union Pacific for the past four years, is now at. her home in Milford.. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden and children, and Jack's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Ogden of Orem, spent their vacation in San Francisco. Fran-cisco. They returned home by way of the Oregon Coast and Reno, Nev. Mrs. Ada Jane Rodgers and three children, who have been living liv-ing in Reno, spent a week here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mahoney, en route to their new home in Salt Lake. Two of her children stayed in Milford to visit for a while with their grandparents, grandpar-ents, while Mrs. Rodgers joins her husband in Salt Lake to purchase a home. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson were Mrs. Jefferson's brother and sister in law, Dr. and Mrs. Hal Smurthwaite and children of LaGrande, Oregon. They left Friday to tour the Utah Parks and Grand Canyon. Arriving Arriv-ing Friday was Mrs. Jefferson's sister, Mrs. Andrew K. Smith of Salt Lake. Mrs. Jefferson and grandaughter Denise accompanied Mrs. Smith to Salt Lake Sunday, returning to Milford Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Norton and three daughters spent the 24th holidays at Fish Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Pullem drove to Salt Lake in their new Pontiac last week, spending two days in the Capital City. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lokey have moved to San Francisco where they plan to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Holyoak and three sons stopped in Milford and Beaver en route to their home in Las Vegas after spending a week in Yellowstone Park. In Milford they were guests of Mr. Holyoak's parents, Mr. and Mrs.. Dell Holyoak, and in Beaver they called on Mrs. Holyoak's father, Kent Morgan. Mrs. Edna Nichols returned to Milford Wednesday after being with, her mother, Mrs. Pearl Twin-bow, Twin-bow, who underwent a leg amputation amputa-tion in a Salt Lake hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Ashcrast and three children will visit her sister, Mrs. Edna Nichols, this week en route to their home in Burley, Idaho. Mrs. Vernell Christopherson and Mrs. Ethel Stott of Fillmore were in Milford to be with their sister, Mrs. Florence Beard, on her birth anniversary, July 23. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Beard of Bountif-.il joined Mr. Beard's brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Beard, last Tuesday and the two couples are now enjoying en-joying a few days' fishing at Panguitch Pan-guitch Lake. Mrs. Ada Dalton and daughter Lyla of Barstow, Calif., are here visiting her son in law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fisher. Roger Aagard joined his wife and daughter Cindy in Milford. Roger had been attending two weeks of military training at Fort Lewis, Wish., and Mrs. Aagard stayed in Milford during that time. They have returned to their home in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Aagard have returned to Milford after spending spend-ing their vacation with their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. I Eddie Myers, in Newhall, Calif. j Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Myers and two children are now in Milford. They I accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Myers to Minersville, and also visited vis-ited Wilma and Eddie in Cali fornia.
