Mrs. Dean Carter and children of Miners-voile visited Sunday at the home of her mother, Mrs. L e . Applegate. Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Brad-shaw Brad-shaw were in Beaver Sunday to attend LDS Conference. They were dinner guests of Mrs. Bill Warby. Bobby Sly celebrated his sixth birthday at the home of his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Rose Bradshaw, Monday. Children present were David jNelson, Blake Myers, Paul Yardley, Doug Stewart, Annette Puffer, Debbie Miller, and Sheila Jones. Also his mother, Mrs. Alta Sly, and Mrs. Laura Miller. Games were played and refresh- merits served. Bobbie received many lovely gifts. The Young. Farmers Wives met at the home of Mrs. Dora Bailey last week. Ladies present were Margaret Puffer, president; Ethel Lee, vice president; Irma Nelson, secretary; Alta Sly, Laura Miller, Betty Naruse, Zelma Sly, Athene Roberts. The evening was spent sewing and the above officers were elected, after which delicious .-rvivhments were served. 9 A baby shower honored Mrs. Leo Mayer Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Ethel Lee, with Mrs. Laura Miller as co-hostess. Games and refreshments were enjoyed en-joyed by all. Ladies winning prizes were Mrs. Rose Bradshaw ( Mrs. Helen Gillins and Mrs. Pearl Tolley. Mrs. Mayer received many lovely gifts. A delicious meal was enjoyed by all after which officers for the coming com-ing year were elected. Lorraine Gillins was retained as president, and Mrs. Helen Gillins was reelected secretary. Mrs. Gillins Gil-lins will also serve as chairman of the South Milford Fan- this year. Several stainelss steel pitchers pitch-ers belonging to the club have been borrowed and not returned. Persons having the pitchers are requ-ested to please return them.1 Mr. and Mrs. Don Alger were in Provo the first of February with their daughter Joyce on her birthday. birth-day. They then visited 'Mrs. Alger's Al-ger's sister, Mrs. Burton Anderson, Ander-son, in Salt Lake. . Duane Yardley and Grant Esplin left Monday for Logan where they will attend a 4-H Industrial School. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Tolley were in Vernal last week visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Gale and children Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins, Mrs. George Goodwin, Mrs. Irene Stewart, Stew-art, Mrs. Ruben Jones, Mrs. La-Rue La-Rue Banks, were in St. George last week visiting the Genealogical library, li-brary, after which they were dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Fisher |
