Show Church Urges Support Of 1959 Heart Drive Sunday, Feb. 22, is "Heart Sunday, and volunteers from the ESA Sorority will make a door to door canvass for funds to carry on the research and education educa-tion program of the National Heart Association. Citing Dr. Paul Dudley White's description of heart disease as "the epidemic of the twentieth century" and the Heart Fund campaign as "the most important and timely of all the appeals," religious and sectarian sec-tarian leaders of all principal faiths urge the American people to observe Heart Sunday, Feb. 22. The First Presidency of the LDS Church urged church members mem-bers to support the coming Utah Heart Association fund campaign with the following statement: "It has been brought to our attention at-tention that the American Heart Association will conduct the 1959 annual heart campaign during the month of February throughout the communities of the ration, the purpose of the campaign being to raise money to sustain the association associa-tion in its effort to combat the disease of the heart and circulation. circula-tion.
