On the agenda for discussion dis-cussion were the cemetery project, proj-ect, Bloodmobile, essay contest, donations, and the American Legion Le-gion distrirt convention which will be held here in May, and sponsorship sponsor-ship of the cancer drive. Mrs. Carter served a salad course to Mrs. Effie Marshall, Mrs. Phyllis Truman, Mrs. Helen Davis, Mrs. Gertrude Marshall, Mrs. Pauline Wood, Mrs. Carter, and Mrs. Wilma Davis. On April 22nd the Beaver High School Band will make a two-day trip to play for assemblies at Par-owan, Par-owan, Hurricane and St. George. The Band Mothers are expected to help raise funds for expenses. Neal Davis suffered two fractured frac-tured ribs when he fell over a chair while helping at the recent fire at his mother's home. THIS WEEK IK MINERSVILLE Sandra Petty and boy friend, Dallas Isom, formerly of Cedar City, spent the week end in Minersville Min-ersville with Sandra's mother. Mr Isom is stationed with the Navy at Bainbridge, Md., and was at home on leave visiting his parents. Sandra San-dra is attending the University of California, studying to be a dental dent-al hygienist. Mr. and Mrs. Sim Murdock and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Murdock were in Richfield Wednesday on business. busi-ness. Word has been received of the death of Harris Zabriskie, former Minersville resident. Funeral services ser-vices were held Monday in Pa-naca, Pa-naca, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Roberts and six children of Cedar City vis-ited vis-ited briefly ' with Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Roberts on Sunday. Mrs. Armina Banks of Salt Lake was a week end visitor in the homes of her many friends and a sister, Mrs. Madge Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ward and ; two children of Ely, Nev., called at the homes of Mrs. Mary Ellen Mathews and Mr. and Mrs. Jule Gillins on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Armstrong and two children of 'Cedar City were week end visitors at the .residence .res-idence of Mr. and Mrs. Sim Murdock. Mur-dock. Mrs. Hilda Marshall, observing her birthday Saturday, entertained her brothers and sisters at a family fam-ily dinner featuring turkey and all the trimmings. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins, Mr. and Mrs. Laisel Davis, Mrs. Cassie MoKnight, Victor Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Obra Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thom-as Stubbs of Provo, 'and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Horton of Beaver, and their families. Hilda served 65 meals to family members between Friday and Sunday. Mrs. Nettie Myers spent the week end in Las Vegas with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Farnow and children. chil-dren.
