ORDINANCE NO. 77 Unlawful for Dogs to Run at Large . .,. Penalty . . . Destruction of Unrestrained Dogs. The Board of County Commissioners Commis-sioners of the County of Beaver ordain or-dain as follows: SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person having the control of any dog to permit said dog, whether it be licensed or unlicensed, to run at large within the limits of Beaver County, out ' side the limits of incorporated cities or towns, between the hours of sundown and sunrise; or any person having the control of any female dog in heat to permit said dog to run at large within the limits lim-its of Beaver County, outside the limits of incorporated cities or towns, at any time. SECTION 2. That any person violating any of the provisions of Section 1 of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine in any sum less than three hundred dollars, dol-lars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed ex-ceed six months or by both such fine and imprisonment; and any dog running at large within the limits of Beaver County, outside the limits of incorporated cities or towns, between the hours of sundown sun-down and sunrise, and any female dog in heat running at large within with-in such area at any time, may be killed by the County Sheriff or any of his deputies, and neither the County Sheriff nor any of his deputies shall be liable in damages to the owner of, or other person '-fllCjl'l J V3 ' v' -s BY DAVID KILLAM TIGERS TO MEET RAMS The Parowan Rams and the Milford Tigers will again tangle Friday evening a a "do or die" contest which might well be the key game in the battle for first place in the region. Parowan, thus tar undefeated, seems to have been tamed down bit since they last met Milford. They almc;t met their Waterloo when they met Miiiard and were only able to triumph in an overtime over-time period by one point. Last Wednesday Milford defeated these same Millard Eagles by 17 points. Parowan has beer, the only team able to take the Tigers, but we believe that there will be a victorious Milford team when the final buzzer sounds Friday evening. eve-ning. JUNIORS SPONSOR BAKE SALE The Junior class will sponsor a door to door bake sale Saturday beginning at 10 a. m. DANCES REACH SPOTLITE The annual seminary "Sweethearts "Sweet-hearts Ball" will be held Saturday Feb. 14 in the LDS recreation hall. Music will be provided by Jake's Orchestra and a floor show held sometime during the evening. FRESHMAN 'MY HAPPINESS' DANCE The "My Happiness" dance will be sponsored by the Freshmen immediately following the Milford-Parowan Milford-Parowan basketball game Friday evening. Refreshments will be provided and high stepping will be to the music" of Jake's Orchestra. The Freshmen inform us that the choice of the theme was based on the expected outcome of the game. MARDI GRAS PROGRESSES The festive event of the year is nearing as the Hilltop Echo staff is frantically making .ready for the Mardi Gras to be held the evening of the 28th. A Mardi Gras Queen and Mystery King will be crowned, prizes will be given, a floor show held, and other festivities will ran into the morning hours. Music will be furnished by a combo group and dance band who will alternate al-ternate thruout the evening. It is to be a costume dance, but semi-formal semi-formal apparel will be accepted at a penalty admission price. STUDENTS GIVE THANKS TO TOWNSPEOPLE The students of Milford High wish to thank those people who helped to present the fine assembly of last Friday. It was a most enjoyable en-joyable piece of entertainment. |
