Under the able chairmanship chair-manship of Eula and Kent Hansen square 'dances, mixers and other forms of fun were enjoyed. The hall was appropriately appro-priately decorated. Refreshments were served at the close of tlie evening. Also on the committee with the Hansons. were Bishop and Mrs. Chase Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Neilsen, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bradshaw. A DAUGHTER, weighing 8 lbs, was' born Monday, Nov. 10, in the Iron County Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Reed Thompson. Mrs. Leon Smith returned home Monday after recuperating recuperat-ing from major surgery, which she lunderwent Nov. 10 in the Iron County Hospital. Mrs. Frieda Thompson of St. George ivisited in Beaver Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. She was accompanied accompa-nied by her mother in law, Mrs. Jennie Mathews, iwho is at present residing in St. George in a rest home. Wednesday Wed-nesday they were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Farns-worth. Farns-worth. Mrs. Sherman Slick of Washington, D. C, was a guest for a week at the home oi her niece, Mrs. Rue Swin-dlehurst Swin-dlehurst and family. Following Follow-ing her stay here she traveled to Provo i to visit Mrs. Swin-dlehurst's Swin-dlehurst's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Cy Osborn spent last week end in Ely, where they attended funeral services for a niece, Mrs. Gideon Gid-eon Dorrity. Mr., and Mrs. Dean Farns-worth Farns-worth visited briefly in Beaver Beav-er with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Taylor Farnsworth, en route to Las Vegas. Their two children, Kathy and Betsy, staved with their grandparents while the couple was in Ne-I Ne-I vada. Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Atkin and daughter Marilyn left last week to make their home in Salt Lake. Mrs. .Kate Reynolds accompanied accom-panied Philo Allen to Provo last week end to ' visit her daughter, Mrs. LaNor Plumb, and assist with their sick baby. Mrs. Edris Jones of Provo spent last week at the home of Mrs. Grace ' Jones, assisting during her illness. |
