Show Grant Seaman Succeeds Brother as I Beaver Forest Ranger Forest Ranger Grant Seaman's Sea-man's promotion and transfer from the St. George District on the Dixie National Forest to the Beaver District of the Fishlakc National Forest has been announced by Forest Supervisor Su-pervisor S. L. Cuskellv, Richfield. Rich-field. Grant will replace his brother, broth-er, Don Seaman, who has been promoted to the Forest Supervisor's Super-visor's staff of the Boise National Na-tional Forest. Grant Seaman was born in Panguitch and attcded schools, in Cedar City, where his father fath-er was a Forest Ranger until his retirement in 1939. The new Beaver Ranger graduated from the College of Southern Utah and has spent his entire Forest Service career on the Dixie National Forest. He was appointed a seasonal guard June 13, 1940 and received re-ceived his regular appointment March 16, 1943. He was assigned as-signed Assistant District Ranger Ran-ger on the Cedar City district and has been- District Ranger at St. George since August 10, 1946. Grant is a member of the St. George Rotary Club and active in church and civic affairs. He and his wife Mary and their children, Anett, Katherine, Mitchell. John, Sallie and Mar- ilyn will move to their new home at Beaver Nov. 30. |
