Show Bevvs of Beaver Ibtgb By JULIE ANN FARRER Dual Track Meet Coach Lindsay and the mem-berg mem-berg of Beaver's track team traveled to Milford last Friday to participate in a dual meet with the Milford Tigers. The meet was extremely close all the way through, but in the end Milford emerged victorious by two points. W e were proud of the boys and the fine show-. show-. ing they made. Yearbook Day All year long Judith Mur-dock Mur-dock and her staff have been working very hard on the '58 yearbook and on May 19, their efforts will be rewarded, for the entire afternoon will be devoted de-voted to the. autographing of the new "Beaveria." In addition to the afternoon's activity there will also be the running of the "Cross-country-Race." Senior News As school draws to a close, the seniors of B.H.S. are rapidly rapid-ly making plans for their many activities before graduation, on the 22nd of May. One of the main interests is the annual "Senior Sluff Day" which is scheduled for, the 16th of May. This year they are planning an over-night trip to Lagoon. The Senior Banquet is planned plan-ned for May 20, and seems to be progressing nicely under the leadership of Phyllis Baker, banquet chairman. The seniors this year are being advised by Ruth Fillmore, class president, and Mr. Borchert and Mrs. Williams, class advisors. F. F. A. Elects At a meeting held recently in the Ag. room, officers were elected to lead the F.F.A. in the coming year. Mr. Farrer, advisor for the group, announced an-nounced the following as victorious vic-torious in a close election : President, Wayne Smith ; Vice president Kenneth Yardley ; Secretary, Douglas Baker; Treasurer, Neil Bradshaw ; Reporter, Billie Twitchell; Sentinel, Sam Hutchings. Rotary Plays Host The 11th annual Rotary Youth Conference convened Sunday in Salt Lake City. HighSchool seniors from all over the state have been chosen chos-en to represent their schools at this conference. From Beaver High, Kent Limb was chosen, and as such will have a three day trip which will include many educational as well as . entertaining activities. Congratulations, Con-gratulations, Kent. |
