Show MILFORD Sooiefy Globs . THE FOLLOWING families enjoyed their Easter day togeth-er'in togeth-er'in the hills near Milford: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gillies and three sons of Pocatello, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Farnow and two children of Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hickman and , three children of Springville; Mrs. Ray Christensen and two children of Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Grimshaw and baby of Salt T -ke; Mr. and Mrs J. D. Osborn of Beaver; Mrs. Edith Osborn, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Grimshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Dern Osborn and Mr. and Mrs. John Grimshaw and two children all of Milford. MRS. D. L. KESLER entertained enter-tained at a bridal shower honoring honor-ing Mrs. Ted Fillmore last week. Guests enjoying the deligntful evening and getting acquainted with the new bride were Mrs. Cora Jones, Mrs. Margaret Grimshaw, Mrs. Verna Tomsik, Mrs. Hilda O'Leary, Mrs. Jessie Roper, Mrs. Retha Campcau. Mrs. Jean Bailey, Mrs.'LaRee Stewart, Mrs. Maurine Yardley, Mrs. Donna Despain, Mrs. Mel-ba Mel-ba White, Mrs. Ann Bolton, Mrs. Myrtle Peterson, Mrs. Louise Wright, Mrs. Shirley Smith, all of Milford; Mrs. Margaret Black-ner, Black-ner, and Mrs. Ann Blackner of Greenville; Mrs. Eva Davis of Minersville and Mrs. Afton Kes-ler Kes-ler of Adamsville. Bingo and Pinochle were the evening's entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fillmore of Santa Clara, Calif., will spend the summer in Milford with Mr. Fillmore's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Kesler. THE REGULAR monthly meeting of the Women's Society So-ciety of Christian Service of th? Methodist Church was held Tuesday evening, with Mrs. Dora Pool presiding. Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Davie were present pres-ent and Dr. Davie, guest speaker, speak-er, discussed "Mental Health and the Church " A varied program of music and song was presented, and Mrs. Lulu Clay sang "The Sunshine of Your Smile" as a lovely solo. Refreshments were served in the dining room by Mrs. Pool and Mrs. Verona Myers. ELAINE SCHOW was especially especial-ly happy on her tenth birthday, birth-day, when her mother, Mrs. Gerald Schow, gave her a party with the following friends enjoying en-joying the gala affair: Doug Hickman, Jan Fisher, Stephen Labrum, Candy Grimshaw, Kathy Killam, Sandra Wilcock, Lenna Galloway, Mike Wright, and Elaine's brothers, Boyd, Mike, Billy and Allen. Chili burgers and a cleverly decorated bunny cake and ice cream were served to the group after games were played and the nice gifts were opened. Betty Ferguson and Vaughn McDonald were down from Salt Lake, over tjie Easter holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Roper and daughter Cheryl of Ely, were here to spend Easter day with Mr. andMrs. Henry Roper and Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Kesler. Lt. Col. and Mrs. Stanley-Hughes Stanley-Hughes and children of Castle Air Force Base, Cali'f., were here two days this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hughes. |
