Show LOCAL CYO TEAM T0URNEYW1NNERS Bingham's Holy Rosary Church CYO team copped their fourth straight game by defeating Guadalupe of Salt Lake 42 to 3. Castillo and Susaeta pushed 10 ! and 9 counters through the nets, I King and Bianchi played a very I good game by controlling the Lankboards. Gonzales played a good game on defense as he held I the high scoring Trujillo of Guadalupe to four points. Trujillo Tru-jillo has been averaging close to -18 points a game but Mike was too much as he held him down besides hitting for nine counters for the Bingham five. Excellent shooting of Tom Lovat proved too much for Guadalupe as he collected nine counters. His shots were 20 feet out. Guadalupe Guada-lupe had no defense for Tom as Mike and Bcrnie would screen so he could shoot with no interference. inter-ference. Bingham jumped to a quick lead with the score 21 to 11 for Bingham. Guadalupe made a threat the last three minutes as the score read 40 to 28. Bingham Bing-ham then went into a stall as King and Gonzales dribbled a-way a-way from the opponents. Sunday night, it was all over. Bingham captured the second straight title of the CYO Basketball Basket-ball tournament by downing a good bunch of boys from Tooele. After the yells and screams quieted down Bingham won 30 to 31. Castillo, Bianchi and Susaeta Sus-aeta started by connecting for six points. The game started fast for Tooele and they never caught up as Lovat and Gonzales connected con-nected for a field goal each. At the half ended the score read 20 to 12. Leonelli and Johannesen led the Tooele boys, as they fought and played an outstanding outstand-ing game but it was not enough, as Bingham had all five boy3 hitting the baskets. Susaeta collected col-lected 13 to lead the scoring parade. par-ade. Bianchi and Lovat played a smart game on the boards a they tailed and commanded both bankboards. Castillo was outstanding out-standing as he - held his taller opponent to six points while collecting col-lecting 8 for Bingham. The boys from Bingham made it five in a row without a defeat. de-feat. They won over Helper, Lourdes, St. Pat's, Guadalupe and Tooele. Boys like J. Castillo, N. Bianchi, D. Susaeta, M. Gonzales. Gon-zales. B. Cordova, - T. Lovat, E. Martinez and R. King practiced hard, played fast and worked as a team of five. Their teamwork was wonderful to see.
