Show Weber riders score well at rodeo competition Lowe is currently the leader tor the nation in the bareback event. The national competition is June 14-20 in Bozeman, Montana. At the contest, Lowe and other competitors will compete in three go-rounds with a triple amount of points for each go-round.Lynn Corbridg"e. WSC team advisor, said he would not be surprised to see Lowe win the national title. Neither would he be surprised if some of the other members of the WSC team win their respective events at the national competition. Other team members who are currently leading the Rocky Mountain Region in their respective events include: Craig Ja.Nae Barlow Managing Editor Kosoff, calf roping; Sandie Gregory, breakaway roping; and Lori Hadley, goat tying and all-around cowgirl. The top two three-member teams in the region along with the top two individuals in each event qualify for the competition. Currently, the Weber women's team is leading the region in team points. With the points WSC bareback rider David Lowe earned in his event Saturday night at the Weber rodeo, he will go to the national intercollegiate finals with the most points possible. ! i - s' ' ...... .... "Sandie did well," said Corbridge. "She was our whole show." Gregory's performance didn't add to the team standings for the women because the team can only use the points earned by three members. Before the rodeo, Gregory was not slated for the team. Corbridge said he uses the competitors who have earned the most points in five previous rodeos for the team. With her win, she will be included on the team for next week's competition.Another member of the Weber team, Craig Kosoff, split the average with Ross Murray from Southern Utah State College. "This win firms up his position in the region," Corbridge said. In the goat tying, Lori Hadley won the first go-round of competition with an eight second run. (cont'd from page 13) Utah Stai;.
