Lindqulst attended Weber State College from 1937-39. lie later graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He Is chairman of the board of three family corporations, including Lindqulst and Sons Mortuary. He has served Weber State College in many capacities and Is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, including WSC Distinguished Alumni Award and WSC honorary Doctor of Humanities degree. Larry II. Miller Larry II. Miller graduated from West High School and attended the University of Utah. lie began his automotive career at a parts store in Salt Lake City and is currently the owner of several car dealerships in Utah, Idaho and Arizona. Mr. Miller has been an active participant and supporter of fast pitch softball for many years and currently sponsors two teams. William L. Johnson William L. Johnson was named general manager of the Ogden Standard Examiner on March 1, 1985. Prior to joining the Standard, he served for 17 years as corporate vice president of Lehman newspapers in Longmont, Colorado. He was born in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Wrashburn University in Topeka in 1956 with a degree in business and education and also a teaching certificate for secondary schools. Jane A. Marquardt Jane A. Marquardt is currently practicing law with the Ogden firm of Marquardt, Hasenyager and Custen. She is also president of the Wreber County Bar Association and was named "Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year" by the Utah State Bar Association in 1984. She served on the Weber State College Institutional Council for four years and is on the executive board, Women in Management Committee of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce. Mary Wilcox Miller Mary Wilcox Miller is the widow of President Emeritus William P. Miller. She was a constant source of support to President Miller and Weber State College in the 19 years he was president of the school. She served at Weber as president of the faculty women and her influence was greatly felt during the growth period of the school. William Rolfe Kerr Born and raised in Tremonton, Utah, William Rolfe Kerr obtained his bachelor's and master's degree from Utah State. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1980. He is currently Utah Commissioner of Higher Education and chief executive officer of the Utah State Board of Regents. Mlchaclene I. Cirassll Michaelene P. Grassli was born in Salt Lake City, but spent most of her growing up years in Blackfoot, Idaho. She was called to the LDS Primary General Board ? s& in 1975 and in 1980 was sustained as the second counselor in the Primary General Presidency. She is a member of the National Cub Scout Committee, and she has the responsibility for all audiovisual materials produced by the Primary organization. Mark E. Austad Mark E. Austad is a native of Ogden and has served as ambassador to Norway and Finland. He is vice president of Metromedia Corporation and has worked at KSL and with CBS as a commentator. He was a delegate to the United Nations General Assembly in 1973 and ambassador to Finland at the time of the European Security Conference in 1975 in Helsinki. Ted L. Wilson Ted L. Wilson was elected as mayor of Salt Lake City in 1975 and served until July 1, 1985, when he resigned to become the director of the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City where he attended South High School and graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in political science. He received a master's degree in economics and education from the University of Washington in 1969. Ihll Riesen Phil Riesen is a native of Ardmore, Oklahoma and began his broadcasting career at the age of 14 as a disc jockey. After graduation from high school in Idaho Falls, he entered the University of Oklahoma. He completed two semesters and decided to return to Idaho Falls and pursue his broadcasting career. Mr. Riesen has spent 26 years in broadcasting, the last 17 in Utah. James V. Hansen James V. Hansen was first elected to the United State Congress from Utah's First Congressional District in 1980 and is now serving his third term. His prior public service includes four terms in the Utah House of Representatives as well as a three-term councilman for the City of Farmington, Utah. Congressman Hansen was born in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah. Sue Marie Young Sue Marie Young is the chairman of the Utah State Board of Regents, the governing body for Utah's nine public colleges and universities. She is also currently serving as the mayor of Richfield, Utah and president and chief executive officer of S.Y. Construction Company. Mrs. Young has received a Woman of Achievement Award and has also received two Distinguished Service Awards most recently Trom the Utah Business ! :U Federation. -t if' W. Val Oveson W. Val Oveson was born in Provo, Utah and graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science. He is a Certified Public Accountant and served as Utah State Auditor from 1980-84.
